The Perfect Day

Good Morning and Happy Memorial Day to everyone.  I want to give thanks to our men and women who sacrifice their lives to protect our freedoms, like my own son!!  My heart goes out to the families that have lost their loved ones due to their service to our country, such a sacrifice.
Thank you!

Here is my card that I want to share
One of the new Saturated Canary images that I just had to have! lol

She is colored in copics and then I used 0.5 Copic multiliner to doodle around her.

My papers are from MME "Kate & Co." and "Sky's The Limit"

I used Memory box dies "corner bow" and "precious hearts", one big heart shaped doily for the side, and a strip of gems from Wesbster's Pages for embellishment on the top part of the card.

My ribbons are from my stash and the flowers are from Prima

I used tiny word stickers for my message and put them onto another frame sticker from "Kate & Co. collection.

The inside, very whimsical and all over the place, kind of how I feel some days! lol.

Cammy In The Wind

I made a tag using a image from Chelsea Le Design and oh are her girls adorable!!  She has a Etsy shop Here if you would like to browse her images.  You will be hooked!!

Here is the full tag using MME papers "Up & Away" Cammy is colored in Copics and I used cream Frantage around her.

The very top of the tag is a die cut from Marianne Creatables LR0270 and then a heart ribbon from Websters Pages.  I used 2 different Spellbinder dies to surround her as well as a doily.  Two tags on the left side are Frantaged and cut from the same papers, they are Magnolia Doohickey dies.

The bottom are2 layers of Magnolia Doohickey lacey edge dies.  The heart ribbon from Websters Pages is on top and the bottom is another lacy ribbon fro WP.  A paper flower with tulle and a button I have had in my stash.

I hope you enjoyed my tag and I encourage you to check out Chelsea's shop HERE

Practically Perfect, Silly Sweet, You!

Happy Long Weekend Everyone!

I made a canvas to share with you.  A little Gypsy feel to it.

I had fun finger painting with acrylics and wiping off.  After my background dried I doodled with Faber Castell Pitt Pens and Scarlett Lime doodle pen.

Her dress is a stamp from Prima and I used a cameo from Websters Pages.
Her hair was made with moulding paste and the headband is shreds of printed tissue paper.

I hand did the doodle designs,  I have some learning to do with them yet.
My words are stickers.

The side shows more of the paint and doodles.

I hope you liked it, very simple to create and fun!!!

A New Challenge at Divas By Design

Good Morning and welcome to my blog, so good to hear from you!
We have a new challenge this week at

Our theme this week at Divas By Design Challenge is Friendship

Our sponsor is
FLAT FRIENDS
You can find their digital images Here on their Blog.

This is my Flat Friend colored in Copics on Cryogen paper.  She is a cutie pie and can be used in many ways.

The oval and scalloped oval dies are from Spellbinders.  I cut a doily in half for the side and used a rolled ribbon flower with my charm to embellish it.  The banner is made from a SU die Bitty Banners and word stickers for the sentiment.  I dotted liquid pearls around both ovals.

The papers are from my scrap drawer and I kept her small and simple.  My friends will appreciate this, I am pretty sure they love cupcakes. mmm Right??

The inside sentiment are word stickers and it says "So Happy To Have You In My Life"  This is very true of our faithful friends.

To you my blogging friends
I am happy you are in my life and I want to thank you for all the kind comments you leave me on my blog posts.  You have taught me so much about crafting the past few years.  I enjoy the friendships we have formed.

Here is the closeup of the tag that I colored in Copics and used a word sticker on it.

I wanted to try out vellum on my card after seeing the gorgeous DT creations over at Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog So I used a Papertrey Ink doily die and a Magnolia Doohickey dragonfly to cut my vellum and then stickled the edges. You can see it here.

Here is more vellum I cut from a Marianne leaf die to enhance my flower.  The sentiment is a Spellbinders mini ticket die.

More vellum leaves with my Wild Orchid Flowers and some pearls.

Spring Photos

Hi Everyone, It has been about 3 weeks since we had snow cover and then it froze 3 night ago again. brrr.  It has been a very long and snowy winter here in Minnesota and our small farm is waking up to Spring.  I Just wanted to share some photos with you.

This our Famous Mall of America Amusement Park

Isaac and I were having lunch here together after I shopped the scrapbook store Archivers.  In the winter we get some well know awesome crafty instructors here for a few days.

Here is Isaac, he is so close to age 16 and driving, just a few months left.

Elijah is my youngest and will be 5 years old in a few weeks.  He is tall like a  year old and very shy.  He messed up my bed and is jumping on it. Just waiting for a nice day to come.

Champagne is Isaacs 1 year old Llama that will show in 4H this year.

My daughter and her new horse.  We take him on our walks with us and he is so good

One of our roosters, I love his colors and one of my Magnolia cards was colored similar to him

We just received our baby chicks, the brown ones are laying hens and the yellow ones are fryers.  We will butcher the fryers in July.

Elijah is holding a chick.  On the left is our little space for them with heat lamps in about 2 weeks we will make the space bigger and then eventually they will be outside running around a pen.

Mama Bantam hen with her baby chicks

Our beef in waiting.  He will taste so good in about September

Some of our many ducks we have here

Today it was finally warm 88 degrees F. My son and our Pug fell asleep on the floor in the sun and fresh air, yes finally we can go outside and enjoy "Fresh Air"

I think Elijah looks funny the way he held his head while sleeping, the Pug is sunning himself.

We all love summer in our house and we are so happy to go outside and enjoy the fresh sunshine.

Have a wonderful day also!

My Canvas And The Best Real Life Story Ever!!!!

Hello I have the best inspirational story to link you to over at Lisa Minckler's blog!

She gave me just a few notes about what she wanted for a canvas that she asked me to make for her, I was scared at first.  After calming down with excitement I let my creative juices flow and then I stopped to think "am I doing this right?"  But then I just let it go and created what I hoped Lisa wanted from me.

Yes she is not my usual canvas style and you are probably wondering why I altered her eyes.  You need to go read the best real life story ever at Lisa Minckler's Blog only she can tell it!!!!!

Here are bits and pieces of her story just a teaser

"you'll literally be my arms and legs' kept replaying in my mind.    HOLY CRAP...I wanted to ralph right there on the side of the road."
"my ears were filled with the glorious sound of her doorbell that seemed like the singing of little angels. My nerves were instantly calmed as the door slowly opened and what I saw on the other side of  the threshold would change my life forever."

" GASP...what the hell did I just say??? Did I just completely botch this?"

"Now, here's where I tell you a bit more about Cheryl and explain the reason for this incredible canvas."

"We sat down at the kitchen table and she opened up her life to me and explained why I was sitting in the home of  a woman in a wheelchair, drinking tea and talking."

" That was Cheryl's welcome home party.
She ended the story with, "Yah, it pretty much sucked."

"See, Cheryl is a very attractive woman who prides herself on always looking her best. She has that gorgeous thick black shiny hair that makes all the rest of us women sick and her makeup is done to perfection;"

"When I walked back into the room, I nearly pee'd myself.
I had never seen a more ridiculous sight in all my life and I don't think I've laughed that hard in forever."
"finally able to explain that the cones were"

"And different she is...and wonderful and inspiring and most definitely a human being that I respect and admire."
"So what does this have to do with my earlobe after all of that?"

To find out the whole story and it is worth reading, please go to Lisa's Blog Post Here and you will laugh and cry.

I was so honored to be part of Lisa's story but so moved as I read it.  As I was reading her story I was so emotional after realizing how my canvas was fitting into it.  Divine direction is the only way I could create a canvas to match her story.  Lisa is amazing, so is Cheryl and you will be moved by this, in a good way.  Thank you Lisa for asking me to paint your story!!

GO READ HER STORY  you will love it.
Have a great day!
