Sweet Pea's Owl Hearts

Hello Everyone, recovering from Christmas and ready to celebrate the New Year??  I am still recovering but not too tired to make a card! lol

Here is a new stamp that is just purchased from 7 Kids College Fund.  I love the new owls that Sweet Pea Stamps put out by Concetta Kilmer they are so sweet!  I thought about making thank you cards with Owl Hearts by Sweet Pea Stamps.

I used my favorite Prima papers Optimist 6x6 pad for this Thank You card.

Sweet Pea's Owl Heart image is colored in Copic Sketch Markers on Neenah Smooth Cardstock. I used a tab from the Optimist Collection for the side, it says "Don't Forget To Smile"

The sentiment is from PaperTrey Ink and I used SU white Craft Ink to give it the chalkboard look.

The pretty handmade flower is a gift from a friend and the pink ribbon is from SU

The inside of the card is the same sentiment and embossed with Melt Art embossing enamel.  My frames are Spellbinders Nestabilities Label 3 dies

I used my coveted Scrap Cake papers, they are only for special occasions! lol
Peace and Joy dies are from Penny Black
The center crystal is from SU

MayLeeDee Winter Fairy is colored in Copics and I used Spellbinder die Gold Labels Four to frame her.

I have used the new Magnolia die So Wrapped Snowflake with the snowflakes and adorned them with crystals.

Canvas Painting

Christmas is coming and I am done shopping, although the presents are not wrapped yet!
How are your preparations going?

This was a difficult request for me, my hubby asked for a canvas to give to the decorator.  It needed to blend this one with her other paintings from her home.  My husband is the Plumber and this crew works together a lot so he was excited about this request!
A bit intimidating for me as it has been a very looooong time since I have painted and then to do it  for a decorator.  I managed to complete this one and hoping she likes it. My hubby said it is perfect??? What is a man's version of that? lol

The main thing is "It is the thought that counts"

I did the background with paper pieces and painted her with Golden acrylic paints

I used clip art to mod podge in and then blended with acrylic paint, gelatos and distressed inks.

A few stamps and doilies in the background

The whole canvas has a rough texture on it, I dry brushed and rubbed paint to created the roughness which I like.

Thank you for visiting with me, I love your comments!  I hope everyone is prepared for the Holidays! This weekend will be busy, but we are all together and I love it!

Fairy Dust by Mo Manning

Hello Blogger Friends, hope you are happy and well!!
Today is a new Challenge at 7 Kids Challenge Blog

ANYTHING GOES
but the Design Team is doing
silver and gold

Here is my card for the new challenge

Well I have a lot of silver and gold but it is festive!
My papers are older Magnolia designer papers.

Here at the bottom are Kort and Godt rolled flowers and silver and white beads from a friend. I used a pin and snowflake charm in them.  The gold snowflake is a die cut Precious Snowflakes from Memory Box. I just trimmed off the ribbon.  The 2 on the right are also Precious Snowflakes from Memory Box and I also cut the ribbon off and stacked them.  The glittery silver are cut from a older Stampin Up glitter paper.  The gold snowflakes are embossed with Melt Art Thick Embossing Enamel in Gold.

I colored my image Fairy Dust in Copics Co, C2, C4 and added stickles and Melt Art in Gold.

Here are 3 Memory Box Dies shown Peace ScriptSussex Snowflake, and Precious Snowflake.  My image is mounted on Spellbinders Majestic Elements Opulent Ovals.

I used to Magnolia Doohickey tag dies and the Memory Box die Precious Snowflakes and I kept the ribbon on it.

Another view

The inside is also older Magnolia papers and Memory Box dies Precious Snowflakes and Lucca Ornament die

Nicecrane Designs For My Tree

Christmas is so very close and I have just begun to decorate a bit.  I was so happy to find these easy handmade ornaments on Nicecrane designs.  They are pyramid style and just cut and stack. The vintage style photo are perfect with my theme on this tiny tree this year.

See how cool they look and it was easy!  After I made this one I cut out a frame from Spellbinders and attached some twine and hung it up, maybe 20 minutes of time.

I love the way it turns.

The next two are round.  This one I attached a Frantaged poinsettia onto the twine for more festive appearance.

I see in this photo where my cutting skills are not perfect but see it still looks fabulous!

I was making my Nicecrane Designs ornaments while I was also making Poppyseed coffee cake.  This is a old family recipe and my first try at it, not bad but the dough needs improvement.

I had a chance to use a gift from my friend May in the UK.  This apron has the streets of London on it. I really wanted a apron and here it came!

My kids are helping grind up 2 pounds of Poppy seeds

Here is the finished product

Here is my small tree from my bedroom that I decorated with Mays gifts and the Nicecrane Designs ornaments I made.

Here is my burlap ribbon with sparkly sticks behind it. May wrapped my package with the heart and bell so I used it here.

here is Mays bag with the gingerbread in it

One of three tags from her bag

Some of my other friends have sent me awesome things too, I can hardly wait to use them too!  Thank you MayIgnacioSashaKaren, Sandy, and Christina for your gifts and friendship!!
Have a very Merry week!

All Dressed Up for Christmas

Hello and welcome to my blog today!
I have been Guest designing at All Dressed Up Challenge Blog this month!  Well they liked me hanging around them so much they made me a team member!!  I am now a Dressy Girl!

Today our challenge is Clean and Simple Christmas
I chose this fabulous image by Wendy Burns "All Dressed Up for Christmas" at the All Dressed Up Stamp Store.

With this image "All Dressed Up For Christmas" all you need is SIMPLE to show it off!  I used white card stock and scored it Vertical and then twice horizontal.  Then I matted my image on black and then red card stock and embossed my sentiment to the bottom of the card and it was done!

I hope you enjoyed my card and please enter our newest challenge at All Dressed Up Challenge Blog!

Have a wonderful day!

A Gift Set

Good Morning or good evening to my European friends!

I have made a gift set using some of the new Magnolia Winter Wonderland collection from our 7 Kids College Fund Store.

Framed chicken wire to hold your cards, a surprise gift and Christmas card.

Our local craft store had a frame and several options to put with it, I chose chicken wire to hold cards.  Then they had these magnetic frames to hold your photo's or I just put a Magnolia image in it.

A surprise wrapped gift has tinsel (from a friend) tied at the ends and I also used the tinsel for a tie on the tag. I used a chipboard tag and covered it with red card stock.  The Day Before Chrstimas Edwin fit perfectly on top of the red card stock.  I made a chipboard frame for Edwin and embossed it with Aged Gold embossing enamel from Stampendous.  A few chit chat stickers, a charm and sequined ribbon across the bottom.  The sequined ribbon was a gift from my friend and it had arrived the day I was making this. Perfect timing!

Here is the card I made to go with the gift set.

Pion papers and Prima flowers, how perfect is that!!
I have used a few dies from Memory Box on the corner and one of my Bezels that I made.

In the corner is a Magnolia doohickey heart die with the Sussex Snowflake die from Memory Box.  I used a holly die from Joy crafts and cut out a few tiny tags from the Pion papers and then attached them to the doohickey tag.  The Sussex snowflake die is lightly embossed with Aged Ivory Frantage and True Thyme ink from SU.

A flourish die from Memory box and Prima flower. You can see the edge of the pretty Pion paper I used from a previous Christmas collection.

Here is a closeup of the two stamps mounted on Spellbinders nestability die Floral Ovals with a sprinkling of Aged Ivory embossing powder from Stampendous AKA Frantage
